Georgina and Ian welcome you to Woodside Cottage Bed and Breakfast where we will endeavour to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
We opened for business in November 2009 and are delighted to offer you double ensuite accomodation in ‘The Potting Shed’, a warm and comfortable detached converted brick and flint outbuilding within the gardens of Woodside Cottage, itself a traditional brick and flint Norfolk cottage dating back over 200 years.
‘The Potting Shed’ offers private, relaxing accommodation and includes:
Kingsize bed
Free WiFi internet access,
22” flat screen TV with DVD player,
Endless drinks making facilities
and comfortable seating on a large squashy leather sofa!
There is also a Bistro table where breakfast will be served to you each morning.
Guests are given a key and encouraged to come and go as they please and to enjoy the luxury of their own front door.
‘The Potting Shed’ is situated halfway between the attractive market towns of Swaffham and Fakenham, in a rural yet easily accessible part of North West Norfolk being within easy reach of the beautiful unspoilt North Norfolk Coast (Holkham, Wells-Next-the- Sea, and Blakeney are about 15-20miles).
Many interesting stately homes including Sandringham House, Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall, as well as several National Trust Properties ie. Blickling Hall, Oxburgh Hall and Felbrigg Hall along with English Heritage Properties are all within easy reach.
There are a number of nature reserves in the area making this a lovely place to relax and enjoy the abundance of wildlife the area has to offer.
Cycle hire is available if you would like to enjoy the slower pace of life the quiet Norfolk lanes offer
and routes that include pubs and tearooms can be suggested by prior arrangement.
